    Just done watching Freedom Writers.







    Just finshed a book by Torey Hayden, a special education teacher.

    Quite inspiring, real-life teachers. I would love to be like them. To be a teacher like them is my dream. But, am I ready to face the mountains that I will have to move?

    A Malay Newspaper featured a man who divorced his wife just cos she is a dedicated teacher. In Freedom Writers, Erin's husband divorced her also for her dedication to teaching. To be a great teacher, is it really necessary to sacrifice something dear to you? Will my future husband understand?

    I'm not even a full-fledged teacher yet, and he is already complaining about my time commited to teaching. Do I dare to be a good teacher?

    Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
    Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
    It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

    Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
    Actually, who are you not to be?
    You are a child of God.
