My Weekend... Friday Met Samantha to go shopping. Supposedly to be buying Grace's belated bday present. But deep in our hearts, we know we want to buy things for ourselves too. Haha! No choice. We are shopping addicts! But in the end, we bought nothing for ourselves!! So sad. But well, we had some fun time taking photos. Saw this exhibition on Heritage Trail in Suntec. Being the camera whores that we are, our cameras went a-clicking away. The Trail is about Heros of Singapore. I smiled widely when I saw my idol's poster there - Elizabeth Choy. The strong woman I wish I am. Here are the pics... We came across this section where passer-bys were asked to write down who their hero is. There is this huge wall of Post-its, with many people writing who their heros are. And in the sea of these Post-its, I saw this and my heart skipped a beat. Wow.. Jesus, You are my Hero too. =) Saturday A quiet day for me. Went to have dinner with a friend and then on my way back, passed by the Woodlands Regional Library. Being the book-lover that I am, I decided to pop in since I haven't read any good books in a long while. An hour later, armed with three books, a hot choc, my earphones and with music blasting in my ears, I settled at the cafe and made myself comfortable as I started reading my first book, oblivious to my surroundings. Ahh... The blissfulness of it.... How I long for more of such days. A good book and a hot choc makes Jing Er a happy girl. =) Sunday In church today. It was combined service. As usual, we had chicken rice for lunch. I had mine with Nana and Bud. After eating, I got out my camera and just took a couple of photos. Just a random act. Took with Hui En, the Ong sisters and Marcus. Looking at the pics now makes me feel old. Hui En - the daughter of Chee Kin and Ping Xin. I watched CK and PX get together in their JC days, got married and now they are parents. Hui En will have to call me 'Aunty Jing Er'. Sigh.Nana, Bud and Marcus - My Sunday School kids. I taught them when they were in Primary School. Now, they work hand-in-hand with me in mission trip. Hiaz.. Time waits for no man/woman.

This little sister of mine... Always following my footsteps... Same primary school, same secondary school, same junior college.. Now becoming a teacher like me.. Only difference? She is way much more smarter than me. Haha. Anyway, she just had her convo in NIE 2 weeks ago. Just want to say, "Hong, jia you. Being a teacher is not easy. We are moulding the future of our nation. But it is way worth it. Remember this, we are not history-makers. We are makers of history-makers. =) Go and mould some great future leaders!"

Yours Truly
~~~JING ER~~~
*Just an ordinary girl made extraordinary by God*
*Interestingly and uniquely created*
*Never fail to be amazed by God's love, grace and mercy*
*Going on a journey to become the woman God's created me to be*
*Everytime I am lost, I know His love will lead me home*
*Refreshed whenever I turn to Him*
Favourite Poem
Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God
that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
